As part of the celebration of the 107th Anniversary of the birth of the founder of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the Socialist Forum of Ghana (SFG) awarded a group of persons with it highest distinction, among them the Ambassador Kojo Amo Gottfried.
The Ambassador Kojo Amo Gottfreid, was the first Ghanaian Ambassador to Cuba. Nowadays is a prominent member of the Association of Solidarity with Cuba. The Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Mr. Pedro Luis Despaigne González handed the supporting plate over to him.
The Deputy Minister for International Cooperation and Economic Integration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, Mr. Dephue Zuo, received at his office the Chargé d'Affairs of Cuba, Yordenis Despaigne Vera. They were also present, for the Liberian side Mr. Sie-Teba Neuville, Director of American Affairs of the Foreign Ministry and Carmen Maury Toledo, Second Secretary of the Cuban diplomatic mission
Headed by the tireless social activist Robert "Bobby" Clarke, a group of Barbadians intellectuals participated as panelists in the Regional Seminar on the implementation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, held in Cuba between 21 and 23 September, following up on the Declaration of the Heads of State of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), adopted in Havana in January 2011.
