Kuala Lumpur, June 1st - Dr Selvaraj Ramsamy, Undersecretary of International Relations at the Ministry of Human Resources of Malaysia, welcomed the Cuban ambassador to that country, Ibete Fernández Hernández.

During the meeting the parties discussed the participation of Malaysia and Cuba in the ILO's 106th International Conference and the best ways to coordinate positions. The Ambassador of Cuba, Mr. Pedro Luis Despaigne González, was received by the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations of Ghana, Mr. Ignatius Awuah Baffour, with whom he discussed issues of bilateral interest.

The Cuban diplomat told the Minister the number of Ghanaian workers serving different functions in the Cuban Embassy on the basis of contracts which respect of the country´s Labor Law, as well as compliance with 100% of the Social Security payments established by the Ghanaian law.
