HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 1 (ACN) Cuban president Raul Castro said today that the documents approved in the III Plenum of the Central Committee of the Party are programmatic foundations that reaffirm the character Socialist of the Revolution.
The Ambassador of Cuba to Botswana, H.E. Patricia Lazara Pego Guerra, held a pleasant meeting with Madam Speaker of the National Assembly, Honorable Gladys Kokorwe, where they talked about the positive results of the visit to Cuba of the parliamentary delegation, led by her, from April 23rd to 28th.
"Cuba is no enemy to peace, nor is it reluctant to exchanges or cooperation between countries with different political systems, but it has been and will be uncompromising in its defense of its principles."
Havana, May 31 (Prensa Latina) President Raul Castro has attended the opening ceremony of the special session of the National People''s Power Assembly (ANPP), which was convened to analyze several documents governing the economic and social life of the country.
A joint collaboration between the Mexican and Cuban Embassies to Belize will result in a cultural musical presentation showcase at the Institute of Mexico in Belize City on June 6th.
The event is expected to commence at 7:00 p.m., and will gorm part of the 2017 International Jazz Festival.
Two musical groups: “Morena Son”, from Santiago de Cuba and “Casa Wagner” from Tijuana Mexico will entertain the audience.
Speaking during the National Assembly Extraordinary Session, taking place today, June 1, the President of Cuba’s Councils of State and Ministers and First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Army General Raúl Castro Ruz noted that on this occasion the National Assembly reviewed modifications to the Conceptualization of the Cuban Economic and Social Model of Socialist Development, just as it did in June of last year.
