Cuban Consul General of Toronto attended in the Annual General Assembly of the CCFA-Niagara

Toronto, April 18th, 2017. In the McBain Community Center of Niagara Region, the Annual General Assembly of the Canadian Cuban Friendship Association-Niagara took place recently. The members discussed the main activities during 2016 and the results, as well as the upcoming activities this year. On the other hand, they shared some ideas in order to support Brigade Che Guevara.

Minister of health of Cambodia supports the cooperation with Cuba

Meeting between Minister of Health of Cambodia and Cuban Ambassador

The Minister of health of Cambodia, Dr. Mam Bun Heng, said to encourage cooperation with Cuba on areas of common interest. During a meeting with Cuban Ambassador to Phnom Penh, Juan Hidalgo-Gato Pérez, they assessed together the great potential of exchages that exists in the field of health, which includes the possibility of having access to Cuban medicines and medical services, as well as the training of human resources, among others. The parties agreed to regularize the dialogue on these issues.

Latin American ambassadors to promote trade links with New Zealand

Wellington April 18, 2017. In a meeting with the Minister of Trade, Todd McClay, the ambassadors of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba and Mexico, expressed their interest in promoting  greater economic and trade ties between Latin America and New Zealand.

The kiwi Minister explained the details of the newly announced Trade Agenda 2030, with which New Zealand intends to achieve greater access and exchanges for its business community at the global level. McClay also commented on the priority granted to the expansion of contacts with Latin America.

Cambodian graduates expressed their solidarity with Cuba

Cambodians graduated in Cuba expressed their solidarity with the Cuban Government and people, to whom they thanked for their professional education. Their friendship sentiments were shown during a meeting held at the Cuban Embassy in Phnom Penh, where they welcomed Vice President of ICAP, Alicia Corredera Morales, as well as their representatives who participated in the VIII Regional event of solidarity with Cuba, held in Manila on April 9thand 10th.

Cambodian party leader highlights friendship ties with Cuba

Yos Son, President of the External Relations Commission of Cambodia Peoples´s Party (CCP) Central Committee, emphasized the historic ties of friendship between both the Countries. The CPP leader thanked the support given by Cuba at the end of the seventies decade, as well as for the sustained medicine scholarship program for Cambodian youths. Yos Son words of gratitude were conveyed to the Cuban Ambassador in Phnom Penh, Juan Hidalgo-Gato Pérez and the Vice-President of the ICAP, Alicia Corredera Morales, during a friendly meeting held at the organization´s headquarters.

Cambodia interested in expanding its cooperation with Cuba on issues of gender

Cambodia expressed the interest of furthering bilateral cooperation with Cuba on gender issues, in particular the exchange of experiences on policies aimed at the empowerment, protection and effective participation of women in society. Such will was conveyed by Dr. Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women's Affairs, during a courtesy call the Minister conceded to Vice President of ICAP, Alicia Corredera Morales and Cuban Ambassador to Phnom Penh, Juan Hidalgo-Gato Pérez.

The National Assembly of Cambodia emphasized on its official website the historical ties of friendship with Cuba. The Legislature offered extensive information on the meeting of the parliamentary group of friendship with Cuba with the Vice President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), Alicia Corredera Morales, as well as the Cuban Ambassador in Phnom Penh, Juan Hidalgo-Gato Pérez.

Cambodian Parliament Vice President Calls for ending of USA blockade against Cuba

Nguon Nhil, Vice-President of the National Assembly of Cambodia called for the end of U.S. blockade against Cuba. The parliamentarian leader argued that that policy harms the Cuban people and limits the economic development of the country. These statements of support were made by him during a meeting with ICAP Vice-President, Alicia Corredera Morales and Cuban Ambassador to Phnom Penh, Juan Hidalgo-Gato Pérez, at Cambodia´s Legislative House.

Cambodian parliamentary group calls for end to U.S. anti-Cuba blockade

Nin Saphon, President of the parliamentary group of friendship with Cuba in the National Assembly of Cambodia, reiterated the support of the Legislative body of his country to the Cuban struggle against the American blockade. The parliamentary leader demanded the total elimination of such a policy and highlighted the historical stance of Cambodia against this economic, financial and commercial siege. Saphon reiterated the gratitude of the Government and the Cambodian people for the help offered by Cuba in the most difficult moments of its recent history.
