As part of a scholarship program that Cuba offers to Sri Lanka, Ambassador Andrés Marcelo González Garrido welcomed Sonal Madhuwantha Subasinghe Mudiyanselage, a Sri Lankan student selected to travel to Cuba shortly to begin her training at the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM) in September.
The student expressed his satisfaction at having the opportunity to study medicine in Cuba. Other Sri Lankan students are currently at the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM).

The conference, which will take place at the Palais des Nations (headquarters of the United Nations Office in Geneva), is hosted by the Inter-Parliamentary Union in partnership with the United Nations.
