Cuban Deputy Prime Minister meets with Ethiopian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs

Addis Ababa, July 29, 2025.-  As part of his official agenda in Ethiopia during the Second Stocktaking Moment of the United Nations Food Systems Summit (UNFSS+4), Cuba’s Deputy Prime Minister, Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, was received by Ethiopia’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hadera Abera Admassu, with whom he held a warm and productive meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters in Addis Ababa.

Addis Ababa, July 29, 2025.- During the Second Stocktaking Moment of the United Nations Food Systems Summit (UNFSS+4), held from July 27 to 29 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Dr. C. Elizabeth Peña Turruellas, Director of Urban, Suburban, and Family Agriculture at Cuba’s Ministry of Agriculture and National Convener for Food Systems, officially presented the National Roadmap for the sustainable transformation of food systems on the Island.

On July 28, they invited several diplomatic missions accredited to the country to inform them that the organization's mission is to develop, promote, and protect the Barbados Olympic Movement, in accordance with the Olympic Charter. The leaders of this Olympic Committee invited the diplomats present to collaborate and develop initiatives to jointly commemorate the United Nations World Cleanup Day, which will be celebrated on September 20, 2025.

Victoria, 26 July._ The Cuban Embassy in Seychelles commemorated the 72nd anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks in a ceremony organized by the Seychelles-Cuba Friendship Association (SECUFA), which was also attended by officials from the Ministry of Health and Foreign Affairs, colleagues from the diplomatic corps, members of the Medical Brigade, Cuban residents, and friends from other sectors.
