Cuba in Seychelles

Cuba participates in the event about the Creole Culture in Seychelles "Rencontres Creoles des Seychelles".

The event about the study and promotion of the Creole culture in Seychelles and around the world, is being organized by the Seychelles National Institute of Culture, Heritage and Arts and counts with the presence of several researchers, musicians, writers and representatives of the Creole culture of Seychelles, Haiti, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Reunion Islands, Madagascar, Mauritius and France.

Cuban Ambassador to Seychelles attends the birthday celebration of the Emperor of Japan

Victoria, February 25._ By invitation of the Japanese Ambassador to Seychelles, Mr. Okaniwa Ken, Cuban Ambassador Martha Hernandez Caneiro, attended the celebration of the birthday of Emperor Naruhito of Japan. 

This is a national holiday in Japan celebrated every February 23th for the reigning Emperor, an occasion to wish him, his family and all Japanese a happy, healthy and prosperous life.

Cuba and Japan have developed a relationship of mutual respect, characterized by important political, economic and commercial exchanges.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism of Seychelles celebrates Annual Diplomatic Cocktail

Victoria 25 February._ Members of the diplomatic mission of Cuba in Seychelles participated in the Annual Diplomatic Cocktail organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism of Seychelles.

In his speech, Minister Sylvestre Radegonde, thanked the diplomatic and consular corps, as well as representatives of the offices of international organizations based in the country, for their continued support to Seychelles.

AU condemned the United States blockade against Cuba once again

Addis Ababa, February 19 (Prensa Latina) The African Union (AU) condemned for the fifteenth time the blockade imposed by the United States government against Cuba on the last day of the 37th Summit of the bloc.

On this occasion, the AU requested the elimination of Cuba from the list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.

Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba

On February 14, 2024, the diplomatic and consular relations between the Republic of Cuba and the Republic of Korea were established through an exchange of Diplomatic Notes between the Permanent Representations of both countries to the United Nations in New York. 

The establishment of official relations between the two countries was carried out in conformity with the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, the International Law and in accordance with the spirit and norms established in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of April 18, 1961.
