President Díaz-Canel visited Mexico and participated in the CELAC Summit.

Mexico City, September 17. The Cuban President participated as a special guest in the celebrations for the independence of Mexico and held a friendly meeting with his counterpart Andrés Manuel López Obrador, whom he thanked for the traditional solidarity of Mexico and his repeated condemnation of the US blockade against Cuba.

Díaz-Canel also participated in the Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), which also spoke out against Washington's aggressive policy against the island.

 

Cuban President talks with his counterparts from Viet Nam, Russia and China.

Havana, August 31. In recent days, the Cuban President, Miguel Díaz-Canel, spoke by telephone with the presidents of Viet Nam, Russia, and China, whom he thanked the recent demonstrations of solidarity and support towards our people and Government.

Important donations of medicines, equipment, and food have arrived in Cuba from these countries to help us face the Covid19 epidemic and its impact on our economy.

In the talks, the aforementioned leaders highlighted the traditional friendship between our countries and reaffirmed the will to strengthen them.

 

Young New Zealanders commemorate Fidel's 95th Anniversary.

Wellington, August 11. Young New Zealanders affiliated with the Aotearoa Communist Party met at the Embassy with First Secretary Dalila Vázquez and the Ambassador.

After an interesting exchange on the situation and plans of each of the parties, those present saw the documentary "Fidel is Fidel" and exchanged experiences and personal anecdotes in relation to the Commander in Chief and Cuba.

Namibia, July 25th, 2021- The Namibia - Cuba Friendship Association (NAMCUFA) organized a caravan of fifty vehicles through the main streets of Windhoek, capital of Namibia, to commemorate the Assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks, condemn the US blockade and support Cuba in its struggle to maintain its sovereignty and independence.

Wellington, July 24. To commemorate our National Rebellion Day, we inaugurated a photo exhibition about Cuba at the Havana Bar and Restaurant in this city.

To enjoy the exhibition, which will be on display until the end of August, the Latin American Ambassadors, friends of Cuba, and the general public attended.

With Cuban music, a special menu resulting from the collaboration of Consul Dalila Vázquez with chef Hoon, and mojitos, it was a night to get closer to Cuba and remember that July 26 that led us to the victory on January 1.

Namibia expresses solidarity and support with the people of Cuba in the defence for their Revolution.

Namibia, July 23rd, 2021 - The disorder and incidence of disruption that occurred in some localities in Cuba on the 11 July 2021 is of great concern. These disruptions are taking place at a very complex time when Cuba is faced with the 16 month long fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, and prolonged economic blockade. Against this background, the Government of Republic of Namibia calls for an end to the economic and financial blockade imposed on Cuba over the years by successive US Administrations.
