Cubans in Vietnam trust that Matanzas will overcome misfortune

Cubans living in Ho Chi Minh City and southern Vietnam expressed their confidence that Matanzas will overcome the misfortune caused by the fire at the supertanker base located in that city.

In a note issued today, the Cubans said they felt with deep sorrow the material and human damages caused by the fire of great proportions unleashed there more than 72 hours ago by a lightning strike on one of the gigantic crude oil deposits.

Vietnam-Cuba relations mural unveiled in Ho Chi Minh City

A mural painting alluding to Vietnam-Cuba relations was inaugurated in southern Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday, in the presence of local authorities, solidarity activists and Cuban diplomats. At the opening, Cuban Ambassador Orlando Hernandez Guillen extolled the values of the work, performed by professors and students from the University of Fine Arts of the largest Vietnamese city on the wall of the Consulate General of Cuba there.

Friends of Cuba in Vietnam celebrated in Hanoi the 61st anniversary of the Bay of Pigs victory in a ceremony where several books on the realities and friendship between the two countries were also presented.

Cuba grants eight medical scholarships to Yemeni students

Riyadh, December 29th - Based on the cultural agreement in force between the Republic of Cuba and the Republic of Yemen, Cuban authorities decided to grant eight scholarships to Yemeni students to begin their medical studies on the Island, at the school year 2021-2022.

The scholarships were handled with the Department of Collaboration that Cuba Offers at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX), through the agile coordination between the Embassy of Cuba in Saudi Arabia -with concurrence in Yemen- and his Yemeni counterpart.
