Vietnam-Cuba friendship contributes to world peace

A delegation of the Communist Party of Cuba led by Standing Committee of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Cuba Roberto Morales Ojeda paid a visit to the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO).

On behalf of HUFO leadership, HUFO Chairman Do Viet Ha warmly welcomed the delegation talking about the formation and development of HUFO over the past 35 years.

2023 will be a year of intense work by associations of solidarity with Cuba.

This 2023 will be a cycle of many initiatives and joint activities, from the associations that make up solidarity with Cuba in the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. Their main representatives, Telca Wallace, of the SKN-Cuba Friendship Association and Hollis Prentice, of the graduates’ association, held meetings with the diplomatic staff of the Embassy of Cuba, in which they presented their plan of activities planned for the whole year.

Vietnam–Cuba Friendship Association sent out a letter calls for donations to Cuban people 

The Vietnam – Cuba Friendship Association (VCFA) on August 17 sent out a letter calling for donations to Cuban people to help them overcome current difficulties.

The letter said the fraternal Cuban country and people are struggling against countless difficulties and challenges as they continue to be under a strict embargo amid COVID-19 pandemic, especially a recent oil storage facility fire incident at an industrial zone near Matanzas that seriously hit lives of the Cuban people.

Friendship Organizations of Vietnam express solidarity with Cuba

The president of the Union of Vietnam Friendship Organizations (VUFO) and ambassador, Nguyen Phuong Nga, affirmed that the people of Vietnam will always be side by side supporting the Cuban people.

Phuong Nga reaffirmed the position of the VUFO during a meeting with the Cuban ambassador, Orlando Hernandez, whom she visited to deliver a donation of one thousand euros from said organization to help compensate for the damage caused by the devastating fire that broke out weeks ago in the supertanker base in the province of Matanzas.

Cubans in Vietnam trust that Matanzas will overcome misfortune

Cubans living in Ho Chi Minh City and southern Vietnam expressed their confidence that Matanzas will overcome the misfortune caused by the fire at the supertanker base located in that city.

In a note issued today, the Cubans said they felt with deep sorrow the material and human damages caused by the fire of great proportions unleashed there more than 72 hours ago by a lightning strike on one of the gigantic crude oil deposits.

Vietnam-Cuba relations mural unveiled in Ho Chi Minh City

A mural painting alluding to Vietnam-Cuba relations was inaugurated in southern Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday, in the presence of local authorities, solidarity activists and Cuban diplomats. At the opening, Cuban Ambassador Orlando Hernandez Guillen extolled the values of the work, performed by professors and students from the University of Fine Arts of the largest Vietnamese city on the wall of the Consulate General of Cuba there.

Cuba's victory at Playa Giron remembered in Vietnam

Friends of Cuba in Vietnam celebrated in Hanoi the 61st anniversary of the Bay of Pigs victory in a ceremony where several books on the realities and friendship between the two countries were also presented.

Vo Hai Ha, president of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association (AAVC), highlighted the significance of that deed, which he described as the first great defeat of U.S. imperialism in the Western Hemisphere and the basis on which the Revolution would conceive its doctrine of "war of the whole people".
