Cuba highlights progress in gender equality at UN ministerial Round Table.

As part of the 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, a Ministerial round table on national mechanisms for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls was held on Wednesday. The Second Secretary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), Zonya Rivero López, presented Cuba's progress in implementing policies and programs for gender equality.

This Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of Mexico to the United Nations, the Briefing for Ministers and High-level Authorities of the Machineries for the Advancement of Women in Latin America and the Caribbean was held, in the framework of the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW).

The Cuban delegation to this important meeting was headed by the Second Secretary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), Zonya Rivero López.

Cuba co-sponsors with China and other actors a side event at the United Nations and highlights the advances of Cuban women in science and technology.

This Tuesday, in the framework of the 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, took place the side event "Technology and Women's Empowerment: Global South Perspectives and Practice," co-sponsored by Cuba, China and other actors. Zonya Rivero Lopez, Second Secretary of the Federation of Cuban Women, highlighted Cuba's progress in technology and women's empowerment.
