CUBAN DELEGATION PARTICIPATES IN THE INFORMAL INTERACTIVE DIALOGUE CONVENED BY THE PGA ON: “PRESERVING HUMAN DIGNITY IN ARMED CONFLICT: PROMOTING COMPLIANCE WITH INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW”.

This Tuesday, Ivette Lamigueiro Cañedo, official with the Division for Multilateral Affairs and International Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the informal interactive dialogue convened by the President of the General Assembly on: “Preserving human dignity in armed conflict: promoting compliance with international humanitarian law”. 

DECLARATION OF NAM DEMANDING THE REMOVAL OF CUBA FROM THE UNILATERAL LIST OF COUNTRIES THAT ALLEGEDLY SPONSOR TERRORISM AND THE LIFTING OF ALL UNILATERAL COERCIVE MEASURES AGAINST THE CUBAN PEOPLE

The Non-Aligned Movement rejects the recent decision, announced on 20 January, to reinstate Cuba in the arbitrary and unilateral list of States that allegedly sponsor terrorism issued by the current Government of the United States of America, just few days after the previous Administration had decided otherwise.

SPECIAL COMMUNIQUÉ OF THE GROUP OF FRIENDS IN DEFENSE OF THE CHARTER OF THE UNITED NATIONS DEMANDING THE REMOVAL OF CUBA FROM THE UNILATERAL LIST OF COUNTRIES THAT ALLEGEDLY SPONSOR TERRORISM

1. The Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations strongly deplores the recent announcement on the re-inclusion of the Republic of Cuba in the U.S. State Department’s unilateral list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism reaffirm and stresses that unilateral lists and unilateral coercive measures are contrary to international law, including the purposes and principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, and must therefore be terminated.
