Cuba reiterates at the UN its commitment with decolonization and the right of all peoples to self-determination
New York, October 10, 2025. – The Permanent Representative of Cub to the United Nations, Ambassador Ernesto Soberón Guzmán, addressed the Fourth Committee of the General Assembly, during the debate on agenda items 54 to 58 on decolonization.
The diplomat reaffirmed Cuba’s historical commitment with the definitive eradication of colonialism and the respect for the inalienable right of all peoples to self-determination, in accordance with the charter of the United Nations and Resolution 1514 (XV).
