Young Cubans' fight against COVID-19 recognized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) office in Cuba
Havana, July 12, 2020. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) office in Cuba recognized the responsible, altruistic and supportive work of the country's youth in the fight against COVID-19, local media reported today.
The UNFPA sent a message to the youth where it highlighted that in situations of changes in their daily life routines, young people and adolescents spent time in useful activities, reported the national newspaper Juventud Rebelde.
Amazon fined for selling products to Cuban Embassy in Washington
New York, 10 July 2020. On Wednesday, the government of the United States announced that it will impose a sanction on Amazon for bypassing the prohibitions on maintaining commercial ties with the Embassy of Cuba in Washington.
According to the text, selling goods and products to Cuban government employees and diplomats is a violation of the law, since the Island has been recently included in the list of countries that promote terrorism and human trafficking.
Cuban solidarity in fight against COVID-19 recognized in Geneva

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba on June 4 issued a statement rejecting and denouncing the actions of political manipulation regarding Cuba's role in the process to achieve peace in Colombia.
Those actions, clearly set forth in the declaration and previously notified through diplomatic channels to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, provided the pretexts for including Cuba in the spurious list of States that allegedly do not fully cooperate in the United States' efforts against terrorism.
