AOSIS countries stand against coercive unilateral measures

New York, June 30, 2020. The Alliance of Small Island Developing States (AOSIS), released today their AOSIS Statement on Debt, where they expressed their solidarity with all countries in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic and emphasized that all efforts in this regard must be coordinated and guided by the best available science to protect the most vulnerable people and countries.

In their AOSIS STATEMENT ON DEBT, the Alliance of Small Island Developing States (AOSIS) recognized that for the members of the Alliance the immediate relief and long-term recovery are vital.  It also emphasized that the way the international community aids vulnerable economies today will ultimately decide whether we all can attain the future we want.
