Fidel in Westminster: Sovereignty as the nation's lifeblood

Dr Fidel Antonio Castro Smirnov, a prominent scientist and grandson of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, raised his voice before the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Cuba to make it clear that Fidel Castro's legacy "is not a debate about the past", but rather "a debate about the future".

At the Cuban Embassy in the United Kingdom, we welcomed Dr. Fidel Antonio Castro Smirnov, who is visiting the country at the invitation of the Campaign for Solidarity with Cuba (CSC), where he will also participate in a scientific and academic programme that includes exchanges with British universities.

The meeting, marked by an atmosphere of warmth and emotion, provided an opportunity for deep reflection with the diplomatic mission, addressing essential issues that link the history, present and future of the Cuban nation.

The Screen Cuba Film Festival returns for its third edition

London, United Kingdom.— Between 15 and 28 March, Cuban cinema will return to British screens with the third edition of ‘Screen Cuba: films to change the world’, a festival organised by the Campaign for Solidarity with Cuba, which is reaffirming its position as a key platform for promoting Cuban cinema in the United Kingdom and strengthening cultural ties between the two countries.
