Embassy of Cuba participates in the annual celebration of Semana de la Hispanidad.

Accra, June 13, 2025. - The Second Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Ghana, Mr. Yamil Eduardo Martinez Marrero, acting Chargé d'Affaires, had the opportunity to participate in several events organized by the Hispanic Club and the Spanish Section of the University of Ghana, in the framework of the celebration of the Hispanic Week.

With the theme “Learning without borders, connecting with the Spanish-speaking world”, the celebration comprised activities from June 9th to 13th, entirely organised by the young students at the Reginald Amonoo building.

Cuban Ambassador to Ghana bids farewell to appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs

Accra, 4 June, 2025. – Cuban Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Mr. Julio E. Pujol Torres participated this afternoon in the reception to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Namibia's Independence. The event also served to bid farewell to H.E. Ms. Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, who completed her tour of duty as her country's Ambassador to Ghana and who has recently been appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Ashipala-Musavyi has been and is a great friend of Cuba who has always been there for us. Our Ambassador wished her all sort of success in her new responsibility.

 

Cuban Embassy pays visit to the University of Legon

Accra, 27 May, 2025. - Cuban Ambassador H.E. Mr. Julio Enrique Pujol Torres and the Second Secretary, Mr. Yamil Eduardo Martinez Marrero, paid a visit to the Centre for Latin American Studies at the University of Ghana where they held a fruitful meeting with its Director, Professor Benedicta Lomotey and with Dr. Joanna Boampong, Head of the Modern Languages Department.

The CLAS aims to be a hub in the sub-region for systematic engagement with Latin America in all spheres of human endeavour, whether academic, economic, social, political or cultural.

Cuban Ambassador delivers message of solidarity in celebration of African Liberation Day.

Accra, 24 May, 2025. - At the invitation of the All-African People's Revolutionary Party (A-APRP), the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, H.E. Mr. Julio E. Pujol Torres participated in an event on the occassion of the African Liberation Day (ALD) celebrated at the W.E.B. DuBois Centre for Pan-African Culture. This year's  theme was: “Africa for Africans: Revolutionary Pan-Africanist Unity Across Borders in the Battle for Socialism against Imperialism”.
