Lebanon's national radio station, La Voz del Pueblo, broadcast a message from the Cuban ambassador on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Resolution.
Cuba resists and advances despite the intensification of the blockade imposed by the United States, reaffirmed today in Lebanon the head of the diplomatic mission of the island, Jorge León Cruz.
The Charge d'Affaires a.i. of the Cuban embassy in Lebanon, Emilio Pevida Sánchez held a pleasant exchange with students from the Faculty of Foreign Affairs of the University of Notre Dame in Beirut.
University students Kate Barakat and Nour Bekdach were interested in the work of the Cuban diplomatic mission and how it promotes Cuba's interests in Lebanon. They also commented on the training process at their university and their aspirations to become diplomats for their country to respond to the interests of their people.
Within the framework of the activities organized by the League for the Rights of Lebanese Women against gender violence, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls, and the Human Rights Day, a session of talks was held in this capital, whose central theme was the challenges that women still face in contemporary societies and particularly in Lebanon.

The president of the WAFA Party, Dr. Ahmed Alwan, was received by the Cuban head of mission Jorge León Cruz, to whom he expressed his congratulations on Cuba's great victory at the UN General Assembly by obtaining the vote of 185 nations of the world condemning and demanding the end of the blockade imposed by the US on the Caribbean island for more than 6 decades.
