A Sate visit of Lao PDR president to Cuba

Vientiane, September 2023.  Thongloun Sisoulith, president of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic paid a  State visits to Cuba on 13-14 September for strengthening historic cooperation and  and friendly relations,  invited by the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and president of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez. After the Lao dignitary will participate will take part in the Summit of the Group of 77 and China, to be held in Havana on September 15 and 16.

Top leader of the Lao Parliament Xaysomphone Phomvihane, receives vice president ANPP

Vientiane September 11, 2023. The highest figure of the Parliament of the Lao PDR, Xaysomphone Phomvihane received Ana María Mari Machado, Vice President of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State, at the headquarters of the legislative body, within the framework of the official work visit that takes place for 3 days.

  During the friendly bilateral meeting, both sides discussed the national situation and future actions to develop parliamentary ties.

The Vice President of Laos receives Vice President of the ANPP Ana María Mari Machado

Vientiane September 11, 2023. Comrade Bounthong Chitmani, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Democratic Party, the Deputy President of the Lao PDR, welcomed the visit of Ana Maria Mari Machado, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, the Vice President of the People's Power National Assembly and of the State Council with her delegation on the occasion of her working visit in the Lao PDR, between September 10-13, 2023.

President of Laos travels to Havana to participate in the G77 Summit

Vientiane, September 2023. The president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Thongloun Sisoulith, traveled to Havana in response to the invitation extended by his  counterpart Miguel Diaz-Canel, to participate in the G77 Summit, under the protempore Cuban presidency.

In a friendly exchange with the Cuban Ambassador in that country, Enna Viant Valdes, he conveyed his desire and satisfaction to fulfill the commitment to visit Havana again and contribute to the success of the event.
