Meeting with the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick

On an official visit to New Brunswick, the Consul General in Montreal, Susana Malmierca, paid a courtesy call on the Lieutenant Governor of the province, the Honorable Brenda L. Murphy. 

During the meeting, the Consul General recorded in the Lieutenant Governor's guest book her appreciation for the warm welcome to the province and emphasized her satisfaction to continue working to strengthen the ties between Cuba and New Brunswick. 

Visit to the Chamber of Commerce of Fredericton, New Brunswick

The Consul General of Cuba in Montreal, Susana Malmierca visited the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce in the province of New Brunswick. This is one of the oldest Chambers in the country and has 150 years of experience. 

In an interview with Morgan Peters, CEO, and Nick Sehl, Policy and Communications Manager, the potential for business between the two countries was discussed. Canada's participation in the Havana International Fair FIHAV, which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary, was highlighted. 

Meeting of Cubans residents in the city of Montreal

 

Cuban residents in Montreal met at the Consulate General of Cuba in that city to discuss current issues and share life experiences.

As part of the exchange, they screened the video "Yo vengo de todas partes" (I come from everywhere), which recounts the historical process of rapprochement between Cuba and its nationals residing abroad, which began with the Dialogue of 1978.

The 65th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution was celebrated in the city of Toronto in an activity organized by the Canadian Network on Cuba, the CCFA-Toronto, the Latin American and Caribbean Solidarity Network and the Juan Gualberto Gómez Association of Cuban Residents.

During the activity, messages of solidarity with the Cuban people and government were conveyed, the U.S. blockade against Cuba was condemned and the exclusion of our country from the arbitrary list of state sponsors of terrorism was demanded.
