Special WPFW Broadcast Dedicated to the Centenary of the Historic Leader of the Cuban Revolution

New York, 13 August 2026. – As part of the activities commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, the Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations, Ambassador Ernesto Soberón Guzmán, participated in a special radio program broadcast by WPFW, based in Washington, D.C., dedicated to the life and legacy of the historic Cuban leader.

Cuba highlights lasting relevance of Fidel Castro in radio program “Voices of Resistance”.

New York, 12 August 2026. - Cuba’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Daylenis Moreno Guerra, took part in the radio broadcast “Voices of Resistance”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, where she approached the lasting relevance of his thought and revolutionary work, as well as his significance for Cuba and for the building of a world of peace, justice, solidarity and cooperation.

Cuba reaffirms at the UN Security Council that peace in the Middle East demands the end of Israel’s occupation, respect for International Law and the recognition of the Palestinian State.

New York, 28 July 2026.- Cuba reaffirmed on Tuesday at the Security Council quarterly open debate on the Middle East, including the Palestinian issue, that the only way to achieve just and lasting peace in the region lies in the strict respect for the UN Charter, the end of Israeli occupation of the Palestinian and Arab territories, and the admission of Palestine as a full member state of the United Nations.

Cuba reaffirms at the UN that the global energy transition will only be possible if it is just, inclusive, and free from unilateral coercive measures 

New York, July 24, 2026.- Cuba’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Daylenis Moreno Guerra, reaffirmed during the interactive dialogue "Accelerating the global energy transition: advancing renewable energy and mobilizing investment" held at the United Nations headquarters on Friday that the global energy transition can only advance effectively if it is based on equity, international cooperation, and respect for developing countries’ right to develop.
