Cuba participates in working meeting of the Standing Committee of the Movement “For the Freedom of Nations.”

The Chargé d'Affaires, a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations, Ambassador Yuri Ariel Gala López, spoke at the virtual working meeting of the Standing Committee of the Movement “For the Freedom of Nations,” an informal international socio-political forum of supporters of the struggle against modern practices of neocolonialism.

In this context, Ambassador Gala López reaffirmed Cuba's historic commitment to the eradication of colonialism in all its forms and manifestations.

The High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution resumed today, at the United Nations Headquarters, with an overwhelming attendance of the majority of the Organization's Member States. The conference is being co-chaired by His Excellency Mr. Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of France, and His Excellency Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

At the UN, Cuba Reaffirmed the Value of Parliamentary Diplomacy and Strengthening Ties with the Inter-Parliamentary Union

Cristian Andrés Padilla González, official of the Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations, spoke during the debate on item 126 of the General Assembly's agenda concerning interaction between the UN, national parliaments, and the IPU.

He reiterated Cuba's commitment to the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter and emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in promoting multilateralism, international cooperation, and a fairer, more democratic international order.

At the United Nations, Cuba Denounces Israel’s Impunity and Reiterates its Support to the Palestinian Cause

On Wednesday, Ambassador Daylenis Moreno Guerra, Chargé d'Affaires, a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations, spoke at the Security Council's open debate on "The Situation in the Middle East, Including the Palestinian Question."

During her speech, the Cuban representative denounced the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people, which is carried out with the impunity guaranteed by the political, military, and financial support provided by the United States to the occupying power.
