1. The Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations strongly condemns the announcement by the Government of the United States America of a new set of extreme measures aimed at further tightening the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed against the Republic of Cuba, through actions intended to obstruct the supply of oil to the country and to sanction third States that maintain legitimate commercial relations with Cuba.

New York, February 3, 2026 – Cuba’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Ernesto Soberón Guzmán, condemned in the strongest terms the genocide perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people and the political, financial, military, and diplomatic complicity of the United States, during his statement at the meeting of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People.

New York, January 28, 2026. – Cuba’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Ernesto Soberón Guzmán, addressed the Security Council’s open debate on the situation in the Middle-East, including the Palestinian issue, where he condemned the serious deterioration of regional peace and security as a result of policies of force, occupation, and aggression, in open violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
