Georgetown, February 9, 2020. From February 7 to 9, a delegation from the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, chaired by Vice Minister Dr. Alfredo González Lorenzo, made a working visit to the Cooperative Republic of Guyana and also integrated by Dr. Michelle Santana Iglesias, Head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Central Unit of Medical Cooperation.
Georgetown, January 31, 2020. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs convened the Diplomatic Fair which was held last Friday at the premises of D’Urban Park to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana. The accredited embassies in the country presented various manifestations of their respective cultures, which became a party, full of joy and color that corroborates that peoples can share and live in peace.

The Embassy of Cuba in Guyana held an emotional ceremony in honor of José Martí in the afternoon, attended by health collaborators, Cuban residents, diplomatic mission officials and Guyanese students :Sabrina Hernández , Nicol Gomes and Abigail Davis from Richard Ishmael School.
Guyana, Georgetown, January 25th, 2020. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Plurinational State of Bolivia announced the decision of the putschist Government to suspend diplomatic relations with the Republic of Cuba, claiming that the Cuban Government has systematically affected bilateral relations and has been hostile towards the Bolivian authorities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba strongly rejects the unfounded allegations of Bolivia’s de facto government.
