Cairo, October 26, 2025. A dozen Egyptian newspapers have reported on the press conference given on October 22 by Cuban Ambassador Alexander Pellicer Moraga.
The published articles reported that on October 28, Cuba will once again submit to a vote in the UN General Assembly a draft resolution calling for an end to the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States. They also highlighted the great damage caused by the blockade imposed on Cuba for more than six decades, which at current prices amounts to more than $170.677 billion, equivalent to $2.1 trillion at the value of gold.
The Honorable and Excellency Ms. Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, President Pro Tempore of the Senate of Liberia, received the Cuban Ambassador, Dr. Indira López Arguelles, at her headquarters.
The Cuban diplomat congratulated Liberia on its election as a non-permanent member of the Security Council and elaborated on the unjust harm caused by the illegal U.S. blockade against the Cuban people.
