CUBA CONDEMNS US RECOGNITION OF THE SYRIAN GOLF OCCUPIED AS A TERRITORY OF ISRAEL
Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba expresses its strongest condemnation of the declared intention of the United States government to recognize the occupied Syrian Golan as the territory of Israel, which constitutes a serious and flagrant violation of the Charter of Nations. United Nations, International Law and the relevant resolutions of the Security Council, in particular resolution 497 of 1981.

Law Helms-Burton has no impact whatsoever, practical impact in Cuba. It’s a US Law with no jurisdiction whatsoever in Cuba and cannot be applied in any sovereign country that respects its sovereignty. Its jurisdiction is limited to the United States. In addition to that, Cuba passed a law in 1996 that defined that Helms-Burton was null and void of any meaning or impact in our country so in practical terms it has no effect whatsoever in Cuba.
The Cuban Minister of Justice reports in Vienna on the Constitutional Reform process
The intense working program carried out in Austria by the delegation headed by Dr. Oscar Manuel Silvera Martínez, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Cuba, concluded with a meeting with a large audience at the headquarters of "ÖKG", the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association, in which the Minister delivered a presentation on the recent process of Constitutional Reform in Cuba.
Ministers of Justice of Cuba and Austria strengthen bilateral cooperation
As part of the working program executed in Austria by the delegation led by Dr. Oscar Manuel Silvera Martínez, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Cuba, a fraternal meeting was held today with the Federal Minister of Constitution, Reforms, Deregulation and Justice of Austria, Dr. Josef Moser, at the premises of the Austrian Ministry. In the meeting both parties reaffirmed their willingness to continue strengthening the bilateral bonds established in the legal sector.

We attend this Ministerial Meeting with high expectations and with the interest of strengthening international cooperation in order to effectively address and counteract the terrible World Drug Problem, which, far from being attenuated, is deepening and intensifying.
