The 59th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution and the New Year 2018 celebrated in Ulan Bator.

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. December 31, 2017. With the presence of Cubans residents in Mongolia, the 59th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the advent of the New Year 2018 was celebrated at the Embassy of Cuba. At the celebration, in which young Mongolian graduates in Cuba and friends of Cuba and its Revolution also participated, it was propitious for the exchange and strengthening of ties between the Cuban community and the Mission.

Danish Solidarity donates funds for the recovery of the damages caused by Hurricane Irma in Cuba

Members of the Danish solidarity groups handed over a symbolic donation check toga the Embassy of Cuba in Denmark on December 22, which reflects the total value they will send to Cuba for contributing to the recovery process of the damages caused by Hurricane Irma. Representatives of the Danish-Cuban Association of Friendship, the "Patria Grande" group and solidary friends from the Danish city of Roskilde gathered to hand over the check totaling 40 thousand Danish crowns (approximately USD 6350 ) to the Cuban Ambassador in that country, Yiliam Gómez Sardiñas.

The new ambassador of Cuba to Georgia, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, presented his credentials in a solemn audience chaired by the president of this Caucasian nation, Giorgi Margvelashvili.

The ceremony of delivery of the credentials was held at the Presidential Palace in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia.

After the delivery of the credentials, the Georgian head of state shared a talk with 10 other concurrent ambassadors, who also presented Credentials.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, delivered the Style Copies of the Credentials that accredit him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Georgia, to the first deputy minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this Caucasian nation, Vakhtang Makharoblishvili.
At the meeting, held at the headquarters of the Georgian Ministry, both parties assessed the state of bilateral ties and agreed in the interest of continuing to develop them.

Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee and President of the Councils of State and Ministers arrived in Antigua and Barbuda, December 7, on an official visit to the country to attend the 6th CARICOM-Cuba Summit, to take place December 8.

President Raúl will also attend the Third Sitting of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Assembly.
