The Cuban State Council decrees Official Mourning in Cuba

On the occasion of the catastrophic aviation accident that occurred at noon today, the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba agreed to decree OFFICIAL DUEL from 06:00 on May 19 until 12:00 on the night of May 20.
During the validity of the OFFICIAL DUEL the Flag of the Lone Star shall be hoisted at half mast in public buildings and military institutions.

Cuba and Mongolia for closer cooperation ties in the biotechnology sector.

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. May 17, 2018. Organized by Mr. Ya.Tumurbaatar, Rector of the National University of Mongolia and the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Mongolia, a panel of analysis and discussion “The ways to develop more effectively cooperation between Mongolia and Cuba in the Biotechnology sector” was developed in the afternoon of yesterday.

EmbaCuba Austria´s Visit to the Austrian Commission for UNESCO

 Ambassador Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios was received by Ms. Gabriele Eschig Secretary-General of the Austrian Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The courtesy call took place in the premises of that institution in a friendly atmosphere in which Ambassador Fernández Palacios referred to the seven decades of relations between Cuba and the UNESCO and to the historical bonds expressed in the celebration of the 70 anniversary in 2017.
