Danish Solidarity donates funds for the recovery of the damages caused by Hurricane Irma in Cuba

Members of the Danish solidarity groups handed over a symbolic donation check toga the Embassy of Cuba in Denmark on December 22, which reflects the total value they will send to Cuba for contributing to the recovery process of the damages caused by Hurricane Irma. Representatives of the Danish-Cuban Association of Friendship, the "Patria Grande" group and solidary friends from the Danish city of Roskilde gathered to hand over the check totaling 40 thousand Danish crowns (approximately USD 6350 ) to the Cuban Ambassador in that country, Yiliam Gómez Sardiñas.

Members of the Association of Friendship Cuba-Denmark and members of the solidarity group Patria Grande, with the support of Christiania’s commune in Copenhagen, paid tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution on the occasion of the first anniversary of his death by planting a tree, next to which they placed a stone dedicated to Fidel. The Embassy of Cuba in Denmark attended to the ceremony, as well as the Ambassadors of Venezuela, Bolivia, Algeria and Iran, among other diplomats.

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the fall of Che and guerrilla comrades in Bolivia, the Embassy of Cuba in Denmark held an activity to pay tribute to them on October 9th, which included the screening of the documentary "A photo travels the world", made by Pedro Chaskel. Likewise, a photographic exhibition of different stages of the life of the Heroic Guerrilla was inaugurated and it will be exposed during the month of October in the Embassy of Cuba in Copenhagen.

Cuba shows in UNICEF its strategy to develop the vaccine industry

From 2 to 6 October 2017, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Copenhagen hosted the Vaccine Acquisition Professionals Exchange Forum and the UNICEF Annual Consultation with the Global Vaccine Industry, respectively. Cuba was present in both appointments, represented by MsC Danev Ricardo Pérez Valerino, Head of International Relations of the Finlay Institute of Vaccines, belonging to the BioCubaFarma Business Group.
