Ambassador exchanges with members of the Finland-Cuba academic agreement
The Cuban Ambassador, Beatriz Parra González, held an exchange with protagonists of the Finland-Cuba academic agreement. The "Iris" project directed by Professor Jyrki Luukkanen has deployed intense research for more than 4 years focused on the use of natural renewable resources. During the exchange, the academic presented multiple models found to generate renewable energy in Cuba, focused on the urgency of modifying its energy matrix.
Cuba participates in Finnish business promotion event for Latin America
The Cuban embassy in Finland responded to the invitation from Business Finland and the Chamber of Commerce to learn about business experiences in Latin America. Ambassador Beatriz Parra González shared information about the new business opportunities in Cuba and the next International Fair in Havana, which will take place next November, in a brief segment aimed at the diplomatic representations present in Helsinki.
Cuba approaches the coastal city of Kotka
The Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra, and the Consul Adalberto Ávila, paid a visit to the coastal city of Kotka, where they were received by their councilor, Jouko Rauhala. At the meeting, the Cuban diplomats highlighted current national issues, in particular the new measures adopted in the economic field to promote the country's development, despite the intensification of the United States blockade, of which they shared copious information in the exchange.
President of Finland receives the Ambassador of Cuba
The President of the Republic of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, met this Wednesday with the Cuban ambassador, Beatriz Parra González, at his residence in this capital. During the meeting, the president was interested in learning about what is happening in the industrial zone of Matanzas, and highlighted the progress made by Cuba in the biotechnology, during the confrontation with the COVID-19 pandemic. He also referred to issues on the bilateral and global agenda, and signified the traditional interest of Finnish tourism in the Greater Antilles.
Director of Team Finland receives the Ambassador of Cuba
In a meeting held this Tuesday at the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, spoke with Mr. Juha Markkanen, Director of "Team Finland", Export Unit and Promotion of International Trade. The Cuban diplomat highlighted the potential of the Island for foreign investment and economic collaboration; at the same time, she learned about the functioning of TEAM Finland, based on the interests of local businessmen.
