First Women's Congress of ESBECAN reaffirms solidarity with Cuba
The Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, attended the First Women's Congress of the Association of Cuban-Trained Professionals (ESBECAN), which was held in Tomreik Hotel in Accra.
In his speech, the Cuban diplomat thanked the invitation to the event and recommended the ladies remain cohesive around ESBECAN, as the umbrella organization of the Ghanaians trained in Cuba. Another suggestion was that they serve as mentors to the new generation of young people who are finishing their studies in the Caribbean Island.
Welcome to three Ghanaian doctors recently graduated in Cuba
The staff of the Cuban Embassy in Ghana welcomed three new Ghanaian doctors (Josephine Oboshie Laryea, Yusiff Abass and Richardson Kofi Gordor), who completed their medical studies on the Caribbean island.
The Ambassador Pedro L. Despaigne González in his welcoming words congratulated them for the excellent academic results obtained during their student life, encouraging them to continue to excel in their work sphere.
The Minister for Inner Cities and Zongo Development receives the Ambassador of Cuba
Ph.D Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, Minister for Inner Cities and Zongo Development received the Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González.
The Ghanaian Minister, who was recently named for that responsibility, in his welcoming remarks to the Cuban Ambassador, made reference to the historical links between the two countries, and to the impact of top figures of the Cuban Revolution as the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro and the Commander Ernesto “Ché” Guevara.
