Caribbean intellectual Godfrey Martin published an article in The New Today titled “Hands off Cuba – We must stand firm with Cuba and ensure its sovereignty prevails”, in which he condemns the U.S. blockade and calls for the defense of the Island’s sovereignty. The text underscores that Cuba has historically been a bastion of support for oppressed peoples and that its resistance to imperialist aggression deserves regional and international backing.
Grenada launches solidarity campaign with Cuba
St. George, April 10, 2026 — A large-scale solidarity initiative from the Grenadian people toward Cuba was announced on April 9 through Grenada’s national television. The campaign will run from April 14 to May 14, 2026, with a month of concentrated activities across the country.
