Jamaican health authorities acknowledge healthcare provision by Cuban professionals
Kingston, Jamaica, 20 February 2020. Mr. Dunstan Bryan, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Wellness of Jamaica, received today Mrs Inés Fors Fernandez, Ambassador of Cuba, at the Ministry’s headquarters.
In a highly respectful and cordial atmosphere, the parties reviewed the state of bilateral cooperation that Cuba and Jamaica have maintained for more than two decades in the field of health care provision.
Students of the Ocho Rios Primary School visit the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica
Kingston, 18 February 2020. Thirty students ranging from 10 to12 years old and two teachers from the Ochos Ríos Primary School, located in the parish of Saint Ann, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Jamaica this morning.
They are members of the school's Spanish Club. This visit is part of their language immersion programme and of the pedagogical actions taken by the teaching staff to foster knowledge about the culture of neighboring Spanish-speaking countries.
The Cuban Embassy joins the “Rita Marley” Foundation Public Speaking Competition.
Kingston, Jamaica, 14 February 2020. As customary, the Cuban Embassy in Jamaica - represented on this occasion by Counsellor Ricardo Calvo – participated this year in the Public Speaking Competition held by the Rita Marley Foundation (JA), whose Sixth Edition took place today at the Main Library of the Mona Campus, University of the West Indies.
Minister of State of Jamaica recognizes Cuban cooperation in Education

The Honourable Alando Terrelonge, MP, Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information of Jamaica, acknowledged the importance of the collaboration Cuba provides to this sister Caribbean nation on the occasion of the 11th Conference on Foreign Languages held last Thursday at the Jamaica Conference Centre in this capital.
