Cuba reiterates commitment to cooperation with Caribbean nations

Kingston, 18 May 2023. The Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, intervened at the XI United Kingdom-Caribbean Forum, which took place in this city on Thursday 18 May and was attended by Foreign Ministers and senior diplomatic representatives of the United Kingdom, countries members of CARICOM, as well as Cuba and the Dominican Republic as observers.

Havana, May 17, 2023 - The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, will lead the Cuban delegation to the XI United Kingdom-Caribbean Forum, which will take place this Thursday, May 18, in Kingston, Jamaica. Cuba is attending the Forum as an observer country, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jamaica, the host country of the event.

The event will facilitate high-level exchanges between the United Kingdom, CARICOM countries and other Caribbean territories on issues of common interest.

Kingston, 16 May 2023. The Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica, in coordination with the Simon Bolivar Cultural Centre, inaugurated the temporary exhibition "José Martí and the Cuban Revolution", as a tribute to our National Hero on the 128th anniversary of his fall in combat. Present at the opening ceremony were members of youth organisations, members of the Cuba solidarity movement, students from St. Aloysius Primary School and a representation of the Cuban State Mission in Jamaica.
