Cuba and Jamaica evaluate potential for cooperation on environmental matters

Kingston, 2 May, 2023. Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica Fermín Quiñones Sánchez held a courtesy meeting with the Honourable Senator Matthew Samuda, Minister without portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, in charge of environmental themes.

During the exchange, both sides recognised the existence of climate challenges affecting the two neighbouring islands, as well as the potential for increased bilateral collaboration on environmental issues, meteorology, natural disaster prevention and protection, and the efficient use of water resources.

On behalf of the Association of Cuban Residents in Jamaica Mayor General Antonio Maceo, we wish to congratulate all our dear people on the occasion of International Workers' Day on May 1st 2023 and especially our working class, who work and strive in difficult and adverse circumstances, in a world in crisis, facing the aggressive policy of the most powerful imperialist power in the history of humanity and many of its main allies.

Cuban teachers share strategies for teaching and learning Spanish.

Kingston, 30 April 2023 (Jamaica Observer) Jamaican schools have been benefiting from professional and academic support provided by Cuban teachers, following the signing of an agreement between the countries in 1997.

On April 1 Gregory Park Primary School hosted 19 Cuban teachers from Kingston, St Thomas and St Catherine schools to meet and develop the second scientific and methodological workshop, which is an annual event.
