Ambassador of Cuba pays working visit to St. Mary.

Kingston, 9 February 2023. Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica Fermín Quiñones Sánchez paid a working visit to the Saint Mary's region.

During his visit, he spoke at the monthly session of the Municipal Council, in which he ratified our country's willingness to strengthen cooperation ties with Jamaica despite the limitations imposed by the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba. Members of the Council and government agencies present acknowledged in their speeches the historical cooperation of Cuba with Jamaica in the fields of education, health and agriculture.

Kingston, 27 January 2023.  Under Martí's maxim of "Honour, honour", members of the Association of Cuban Residents in Jamaica "Antonio Maceo" (ACRJ), members of the medical and education brigades, and the Cuban diplomatic mission gathered at the Cuban Embassy to commemorate the 170th anniversary of the birth of José Martí.

The act began with the placement of a bouquet of white roses at the foot of the bust of Martí that guards the entrance of the diplomatic headquarters, as a well-deserved tribute to the most universal of Cubans.

Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica meets with Director General of the Rural Agricultural Development Authority .

Kingston, 19 January 2023. Cuban Ambassador Fermín Quiñones Sánchez visited the office of the Rural Agricultural Development Authority of Jamaica (RADA), to hold a working meeting with its Director General, Mr. Winston Simpson.

At the meeting, both parties exchanged on the various possibilities for bilateral cooperation and exchange in the agricultural sector, as a way to advance in the achievement of food security and identify areas of work with potential for the two nations.
