Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples concludes visit to Jamaica
Kingston, 11 December 2023. A delegation of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), headed by the official Tamara Armenteros, today concluded its visit to Jamaica.
During her permanence in Jamaican territory, she held meetings with the leadership of the Jamaica-Cuba Friendship Association and with representatives of different political organisations and social and popular movements that conform the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba.
Jamaican Cuba Solidarity Movement Holds Annual Meeting
Kingston, 10 December 2023. Member organisations of the Jamaican Cuba Solidarity Movement held their annual meeting on the morning of 10 December. The meeting was attended by the Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, the functionary of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) Tamara Armenteros and the president of the Association of Cuban Residents in Jamaica Osvaldo Cárdenas Junquera.
From Jamaica, a tribute to the Bronze Titan 127 years after his fall in combat.
Kingston, 7 December 2023. A representation of the Cuban state mission in Jamaica, headed by Ambassador Fermín Quiñones Sánchez and Tamara Armenteros, from the Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), paid tribute to the Bronze Titan 127 years after his fall in combat, in front of the statue raised in his honour in Heroes Park in this city.
Fair and Exhibition dedicated to Cuban culture held in Kingston
Kingston, 26 November 2023. Convened by the Jamaica-Cuba Friendship Association and with the active participation of the Association of Cuban Residents "Antonio Maceo", a Fair and Exhibition dedicated to Cuban culture took place. The event was attended by members of the Cuban state mission in Jamaica, Cuban residents and their families, graduates from Cuba and residents of the community.
Tribute to Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro in Jamaica
St. James, 24 November 2023. A representation of the Cuban State Mission in Jamaica, headed by Ambassador Fermin Quiñones Sanchez, accompanied by members of the Education Brigade, visited the Fidel Castro Campus of the Anchovy Secondary School, in the parish of St. James, to participate in a tribute to the Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the seventh anniversary of his physical disappearance.
