Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica pays courtesy visit to the Jamaican Defence Force.
Kingston, 22 February 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica Fermín Quiñones Sánchez was received with military honours by the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) and held a courtesy meeting with Rear Admiral Antonette Wemyss Gorman, Chief of Staff.
Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica holds meeting with Mayor of Kingston and St. Andrew
Kingston, 15 February 2023. Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica Fermín Quiñones Sánchez held a courtesy meeting with Senator Delroy Williams, Mayor of Kingston and St. Andrew.
During the exchange, both officials highlighted the close historical ties between Cuba and the city of Kingston, where many Cuban patriots, including the Maceo family, resided for some time during the so-called "fruitful truce".

Ambassador of Cuba pays working visit to St. Mary
Kingston, 9 February 2023. Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica Fermín Quiñones Sánchez paid a working visit to the Saint Mary's region.
During his visit, he spoke at the monthly session of the Municipal Council, in which he ratified our country's willingness to strengthen cooperation ties with Jamaica despite the limitations imposed by the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba. Members of the Council and government agencies present acknowledged in their speeches the historical cooperation of Cuba with Jamaica in the fields of education, health and agriculture.
José Martí Technical School celebrates 170th anniversary of the birth of our National Hero

The "José Martí" Technical School hosted one of the actions to celebrate the 170th anniversary of the birth of our National Hero, with the presence of the Cuban Ambassador Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, the coordinators of the Medical and Educational brigades and other members of the state mission.
