Minister of Justice of Jamaica receives Ambassador of Cuba.

Kingston, Jamaica, 13 January 2023. Cuban Ambassador Fermín Quiñones Sánchez visited the Ministry of Justice of Jamaica, to hold a courtesy meeting with its head, the Honourable Delroy Chuck, QC, MP.

During the meeting, both parties discussed cooperation in the legal sector, as a way to continue and deepen exchanges and institutional cooperation between the two countries in judicial matters.

Kingston, January 12, 2023. Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica Fermín Quiñones Sánchez paid a working visit to the region of Port Antonio, in the parish of Portland.

The Cuban diplomat spoke at the monthly session of the Portland Municipal Corporation, in which he ratified the willingness of our country to strengthen the ties of cooperation with Jamaica despite the brutal impact of the measures imposed by the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the US government against Cuba.

The 46th anniversary of the "José Martí" Technical School is celebrated in Jamaica.

Kingston, 10 January 2022. The Ambassadot of Cuba to Jamaica, Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, and the Second Secretary of this diplomatic mission, Rolando Dávila Gallardo, attended the 46th anniversary ceremony of the "José Martí" Technical School.

This centre, inaugurated on 10 January 1977 as a Secondary School, was a gift from the government and people of Cuba to Jamaica. It exhibits a modular building design and other architectural elements typical of schools built in our country in the 1970s.
