National Report on the Impact of the US Government's Blockade on Cuba Presented

Vientiane, September 17 The Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, presented the National Report on the impact of the blockade (March 2024–February 2025) to the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Havana. This report shows that the economic, commercial, and financial blockade constitutes the central axis of the policy of maximum pressure against Cuba, seeking to suffocate its economy, generate shortages, and discontent. The US remains committed to overthrowing the Cuban Revolutionary Government.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez begins working visit to Laos

Vientiane, September 7, 2025. President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez began his working visit to Laos with a floral tribute at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, along with the delegation accompanying him on his official visit to this sister nation.

In a solemn ceremony, the president paid tribute to the members of the Pathet Lao who sacrificed their lives during the thirty-year struggle (1945-1975) for national liberation.

Emotional  meeting between the Cuban President and the Leader of the Lao Friendship Association

Vientiane, September 7, 2025. An emotional and friendly meeting took place between the Cuban president and the Vice President of the Lao National Assembly and the President of the Lao Friendship Association (AALC) and the Laos-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, comrade Chaleun Yiapaohoer, accompanied by the board of directors. After the warm greeting, the Cuban president expressed, "We know that in these distant lands there are hearts that beat for Cuba, which is why it was important to meet with you."

President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez received by the Prime Minister of Laos

Vientiane, September 7, 2025. During an intense day of work in Vientiane, Laos, President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez also met with Laotian Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.

The two leaders discussed economic, trade, and cooperation relations, with significant potential in key sectors such as health, education, and agriculture.

Regarding the latter, they mentioned the important contribution of Lao rice seeds to Cuba.

Recibe mandatario lao a homologo cubano en palacio presidencial

Vientiane, 7 de septiembre 2025.  Como un hito histórico en las relaciones fraternales entre Cuba y Laos, consideró el mandatario laosiano Thongloun Sisoulith la visita oficial que realiza el Presidente Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez a esta hermana nación.

Luego de recibir al Jefe de Estado caribeño con un fuerte abrazo en el Palacio Presidencial y de realizar la ceremonia frente a las tropas formadas en su honor, el Presidente de Laos le ofreció "una cálida y fraterna bienvenida" en las conversaciones oficiales.
