Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla begins official visit to Laos

Vientiane, February 20, 2025. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla arrives in Vientiane.A warm welcome was offered to him at Wattai International Airport by the Permanent Secretary of the Foreign Ministry, Vanhdy Boutsady, the Director General of Europe America and the Cuban Ambassador Enna Viant. Rodríguez Parrilla's visit responds to an invitation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, comrade Kaysone Phomvihane, on February 20 and 21, 2025.

Cuban Foreign Minister visits the monument of Laos independence

Nestled in the heart of the capital, the monument to independence was visited by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla and his accompanying delegation. Built between 1957 and 1968, this iconic structure is a powerful symbol of the struggle for independence and stands as a tribute to those who fought for them.

A moment to pay tribute to Lao leader and National Hero Kaysone Phomvihane, visit the iconic and symbolic monument to independence, Patouxay, and stop at the commemorative plaque honoring the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Activities of the Lao parliamentary delegation in Cuba

Vientiane, January 30, 2025. An extensive programme of visits was carried out in Artemis province by the parliamentary delegation of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, headed by Cro. Chanthavong Senamadmontry, Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Lao National Assembly. On that occasion she was received by Governor Cro. Ricardo Concepción. In the same province, Commander Sitthon Komadan visited the Cuba-Laos friendship center.
