ICAP Statement: We Urgently Call on Organizations in Solidarity with Cuba to Denounce US Aggression Against Venezuela
Vientiane, January 4, 2026. The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples condemns the criminal military aggression against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela unleashed by the United States government in recent hours. Latin America and the Caribbean are and must remain a zone of peace.
Under false pretenses and through the shameless and continuous use of lies, the United States government is militarily attacking Venezuela to take control of its oil resources.

Our Zone of Peace is being brutally assaulted. State terrorism against the brave Venezuelan people and against Our America, affirmed the president of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez. This is a negative precedent to the regional peace and estability.

Celebrated in Laos the 67 anniversary of the Cuban Revolution and the centenary of Fidel
Vientiane 31 December 2025. The Embassy of Cuba celebrated the 67th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the upcoming centenary of the historic leader, Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro. This occasion was shared with Dr.
Cuba presents at International Cultural Festival in Laos.
Vientiane, December 19, 2025. Cuba has been represented in the 6th renewed international cultural exchange of the Faculty of Letters at the National University of Laos, accompanying the Spanish teachers and students.
As usual, the event became a melting pot of nationalities, showcasing the best of customs, cuisine, and artistic expressions, representing the ten languages taught there, to local and foreign students.
As symbols of Cuban identity, our beautiful guayaberas and colorful Cuban dresses were displayed while delicious traditional dishes, were enjoyed.
Declaration of the National Assembly of People's Power on the escalation of aggression by the United States government against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela
The deputies of the National Assembly of People's Power of the Republic of Cuba strongly condemn the recent act of piracy and maritime terrorism carried out by the United States government in international waters of the Caribbean Sea on December 10, when military forces of that country attacked an oil tanker near the coast of Venezuela.
