Cuba celebrates International Human Rights Day

Vientiane, December 10, 2025. Cuba celebrates International Human Rights Day, one of the achievements of all Cubans.

Since its triumph on January 1, 1959, the Cuban Revolution restored rights and full dignity to its people. For this reason, the defense of the achievements of the model of culture, equity and social justice “With all and for the good of all,” as dreamed by the National Hero Jose Marti, made real by the historic leader Fidel Castro, has continued.

The Cuban minister of Foreign Affairs meets the national and foreign media

Vientiane, October 23, 2025. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla highlighted before the national and international press key points that we share below:

He denounced an “intimidating and deceitful” pressure campaign by the U.S. government, aimed at changing the traditional and historical vote of several nations, especially in Latin America and Europe, in favor of the resolution against the blockade.

He accused Washington of carrying out a media strategy to distort Cuba’s image and create confusion and fear among United Nations member states.

Celebrated in Laos the Cuban Culture Day. Fidel Castro and Armando Hart were remembered

Vientiane, October 20, 2025. The headquarters of the National University of Laos, accompanied by the group of officials from the Embassy, was the center of the celebration of Cuba's National Culture Day, where the National Anthem was sung and Fidel's legacy was remembered in events also linked to the celebration of his centenary, while the 95th anniversary of Armando Hart, a distinguished intellectual of Culture, was also commemorated.

Held in Vientiane, the Fourth National Urban Forum.

Vientiane, October 6, 2025. The Cuban Ambassador participated in the 4th National Urban Forum, held in this capital under the auspices of UN Habitat and the Minister of Finance, the meeting was of great interest to the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and other national and international actors supporting the process of managing human settlements. The event focused on turning crises into opportunities for resilience.

Official visit of Lao Foreign Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane to Cuba comes to an end.

Vientiane, October 4, 2025. Lao Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongsavanh Phomvihane concluded a successful stay in Cuba, where he carried out an official visit at the invitation of his Cuban counterpart.

In addition to holding official talks with Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, he was received by President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz, and visited other socioeconomic and cultural places.
