Cuban Charge d'Affaires in Liberia meets with the Deputy General Manager of radio station "TRUTH FM".

Monrovia, February 12th, 2020 - This afternoon, the Charge d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, received at the headquarters of the Cuban Mission Abraham W. Wheon, Deputy General Director of the radio station "TRUTH FM", who was accompanied by Mr. Maxwell P. Vah, Advisor to the Chancellor for the Affairs of America.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the necessary exchange of information between the two countries and other topics of interest.

Cuban Chargé d'Affaires meets with leading member of the Liberian Solidarity group.

Monrovia, February 11, 2020 - This afternoon, we received at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia, William Wesseh, directive member of the Liberia-Cuba solidarity group.
During the meeting, aspects related to the organization and celebration of several Cuban events for the next months were discussed.

Deputy Minister for International Cooperation and Economic Integration of Liberia receives Cuban Chargé d'Affaires

The Cuban Chargé d'Affaires Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera was received at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia by the Honourable Abraham Korvah, Deputy Minister for International Cooperation and Economic Integration.

Both discussed issues of bilateral relevance and reviewed matters of mutual interest in the field of cooperation between both countries and procedures to move forward effectively.

Acting Foreign Minister of Liberia receives Cuban Chargé d'Affaires.

Monrovia, February 6, 2020 - On the morning of Thursday, February 6, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, Hon. Henry B. Fahnbullen received at the headquarters of the Liberian Foreign Ministry the Cuban Chargé d'Affaires Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera. Accompanying the acting Foreign Minister was Mr. Maxwell P. Vah, Advisor to the Foreign Minister for American Affairs.

Monrovia, February 4, 2020 - With the purpose of reviewing issues of mutual interest in order to effectively advance in their fulfillment, the Liberian Foreign Minister Asistant for American Affairs, Mr. Maxwell P. Vah, and the Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia, Mercedes Martínez Herrera, held a working meeting at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry of this West African country.

Cuban representation at the informal meeting of the Board of Directors of the Green Climate Fund.

Liberia, February 4, 2020 - The informal meeting of the Board of Directors of the Green Climate Fund is taking place in Monrovia, Liberia, from February 4 to 7, to discuss the Fund's draft Strategic Plan for period 2020/2024.  Jorge Ferrer, an official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is participating in the meeting as Alternate Member of the Board.

Chargé d'Affaires in Liberia makes working visit to Oniyama Hospital

Monrovia, January 28, 2020 - This morning, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia, Mercedes L. Martínez, made a working visit to Oniyama Hospital in Bushrod Island, where the Cuban doctor on mission in this country is providing medical care.
The visit also included a meeting with a graduate in Cuba who works at the Clinic and a tour of the facilities of the place.
During our stay we were able to appreciate the gratitude of patients and workers for the work done by the Cuban health professional.

Vandalism to José Martí's busts condemned in Liberia

Monrovia, January 25, 2020 - The Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association condemns the recent vandalism to the busts of the National Hero José Martí by stateless counter-revolutionaries financed by Washington, when all of Cuba was celebrating the 61st anniversary of the triumph of its Revolution.

In their statement, the friends of Cuba expressed their repudiation and indignation at such provocations and declared that José Martí is alive in the hearts of all those who wish for a better world.
