Malaysian media highlights the damages caused by blockade to Cuba
Kuala Lumpur, October 30 - The national news agency Bernama published the article "US Blockade An Obstacle For Cuba To Establish International Cooperation" after the press conference offered by the Cuban ambassador in that country, Ibete Fernández Hernández, to present the report on the damages of the blockade against Cuba.
The article, written by journalist Samantha Tan, cites examples of the extraterritorial application of the blockade and the hardening that this policy has suffered in recent months.
Cuban Ambassador denounces the damages of the blockade to the culture
Kuala Lumpur, October 20- In a radio interview on the occasion of the Day of Cuban Culture, Cuba's ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández denounced the effects of the blockade on the culture sector.
She explained about the inability of artists to receive money for their performances and at the same time as many, how many of them receive denials of travel to the United States in order to spread the cultural values of the island. Ambassador cited as an example the opportunities in which winners of important awards have not been able to attend the awards ceremonies.
Medal of Friendship Receives Two Friends of Cuba in the Philippines
Kuala Lumpur, October 19- Cuba's ambassador to the Philippines, Ibete Fernández, honored Dr Francisco Nemenzo, former president of the University of the Philippines and President of the Cultural and Friendship Association Philippines-Cuba Philcuba, with the medal of friendship and comrade Antonio Paris, Secretary General of the Communist Party of the Philippines PKP 1930, member of the Filipino-Cuban Friendship Association.
