Kerala, February 17th 2026- Cuba was present at the inauguration of the International Conference on Development and Democracy. Along with H. E. Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister of Kerala, honourables Ministers and high representatives, Cuban delegation represented by Ms. Aymee Díaz Negrín, Coordinator of Global South team of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, was present at the opening ceremony of the International Conference of Development and Democracy Kerala Vision 2031.

Cuba as a symbol of anti-imperialist resistence: the world condems new US executive order

Havana, January 31, 2026 -  Numerous organizations around the world have reaffirmed their firm support for Cuba in the defense of its national sovereignty and security, in the face of new measures and pressures from the United States government against the island, insisting that Cuba is not a threat to the United States, but a symbol of solidarity and anti-imperialist resistance.

Cuba condemns and denounces new escalation of US economic blockade

Statement by the Revolutionary Government

The Revolutionary Government condemns in the strongest terms the new escalation by the US government against Cuba in its efforts to impose a total blockade on fuel supplies to our country.

The executive order issued by the US President on January 29, 2026, declares a supposed national emergency, under which his government will be able to impose trade tariffs on imports of products from countries that supply oil to Cuba.
