Belize and Cuba want to find out more about their historical connections. And to do this, they signed a Memorandum of Understanding today that will see intensive research, cross cultural exchange and other collaborations of similar interests through workshops and projects over a four-year period. NICH and the Cuban Embassy in Belize held a short ceremony to establish the institutional cooperation agreement. Andrea Polanco was at today’s signing and tells us more in the following story.

The Third Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in Washington D.C., Dariel Quintana Fraga visited the State of Kansas, from April 3rd to 5th, 2019. The main purpose of his journey was to discuss ways of improving relations between Cuba and Kansas.
Islamabad, April 8, 2019. The newly appointed Foreign Secretary of Pakistan, H. E. Mr. Sohail Mahmood, who currently serves as High Commissioner of Pakistan in India, received the Ambassador of Cuba in Islamabad, Gabriel Tiel Capote, on a working visit to India. The foreign secretary thanked Cuba for the medical aid provided by the earthquake that struck Pakistan in 2005 and the granting of 1,000 scholarships to Pakistani students to study Medicine, while praising the figure of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.
The breeze was scarce as the students anxiously waited for Pedro Pablo Rodriguez to enter the art center. A different aura filled the building, and filled the beings that were seated and standing to hear his presentation. Despite the heat and congested room, the students knew that something big was about to happen. Upon his anticipated arrival, Pedro Pablo caused an outburst of applauses from an expecting congregation of students that were hungry for new ideas and philosophies.
Nassau, April 6, 2019. The Embassy of Cuba in The Bahamas with the Association of Cuban Residents "Ismaelillo" carried out a beautiful cultural activity on the occasion of April 4, to celebrate the 57th Anniversary of the Union of Communist Youth and the 58th Anniversary of the Organization of Pioneers "José Martí".
The first building built in Abu Dhabi that functioned as the center of government where governmental decisions were made and interacted with the Emirati population.
The head of the Cuban mission Jorge León Cruz held a brief exchange with Mr. Saif Saeed Ghobash, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Tourism, who presided over the official opening of this historic facility. The Emirati deputy minister offered a cordial welcome and an extensive explanation to the diplomatic corps and invited personalities about the historic installation, which has become a national museum.
