A sextet of Cuban judokas will rise to the Georgian tatami starting this Saturday, when they participate in the Grand Prix (GP) of Tbilisi, third of the level tournaments in which there will be presence of athletes of the Greater Antilles, reports the Cuban newspaper Juventud Rebelde.

According to the media, three representatives in each sex traveled to the capital of that eastern European state, led in each case by Kaliema Antomarchi, world bronze of 2017 in the 78 kilograms, and Iván Silva (90 kg), runner-up in the world of the year past.

Cuba and New Zealand celebrate 20 years of diplomatic relations

Wellington, March 28, 2019.- The opening of the photo exhibition, "Cuba through Kiwi eyes", served as the core event to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and New Zealand.

During the inauguration, Cuban Ambassador Mario Alzugaray highlighted the importance that Cuba attaches to links with New Zealand, as an example in the relationship between two small and distant nations that have managed to maintain reciprocal attention, with practical results in bilateral cooperation and in matters of mutual interest.

Cuban music band “Afro Cuban All Stars” performs in the Australian capital

The renowned Cuban music band “Afro Cuban All Stars” is on tour for the second time in Australia’s main cities after its successful debut in the country eight years ago. Its presentation took place on March 27 in Canberra.
