Embassy of Cuba celebrates 59th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution

Canberra, March 1 - The 59th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution was celebrated yesterday at the Cuban Embassy in Australia, with the attendance of the Chancellor's Protocol Director Lyndall Sachs, main political parties federal parliamentarians, representatives of the diplomatic corps, friends from solidarity groups, Cuban residents and officials of the diplomatic mission.

Cuba signs a new agreement with the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID)

Vienna, March 1, 2018. A new Loan Agreement between the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) and the Republic of Cuba was signed by the Director General of that international organization, Hon. Mr. Suleiman Jasir Al-Herbish and the Charge d'Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of Cuba in Austria, Marieta García Jordán; through which OFID will contribute to the financing of the Solar Energy Development Project in Cuba.

Cuba continues celebrations for another anniversary of the Revolution, a tribute to the hard-working people who have made it possible.

After a January 1 when all of Cuba danced, the Ministry of Culture and local institutions announced the continuation of performances by children’s choirs and concert bands.

Latin America and Spain Ambassadors meeting with Under – Secretary for Foreign Affairs Fletcher Tabuteau

Ambassadors from Latin America and the Chargé d´Affaires a.i. of Spain, held a meeting with Hon. Fletcher Tabuteau, Deputy Leader of NZ First and Under – Secretary for Foreign Affairs, to exchange views on the relation between New Zealand and the Hispanic world.

During the exchange Mr. Tabuteau updated the HOM on his next trip to Latin America (Chile, Perú & Colombia) and his intention to further promote closer links with the region.
