The Organizing Committee of the Havana International Fair, FIHAV, is pleased to invite you to its 37th edition which will be held from November 4th to 8th, 2019, at EXPOCUBA Exhibition Site.

On the threshold of the Havana´s 500th anniversary, this capital becomes once afresh the host to the most outstanding international fair for trade and investment in Cuba and one of the most representatives in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Counselor of the Embassy of Cuba, Dennis Casares Benítez, and the Third Secretary, Jorge Mazón Rodriguez, held a pleasant meeting with journalists Nabil Al-Sajini and Ashraf Abo El Soud, from the prestigious Al Ahram newspaper, where they talked about the current Cuban news, the strengthening of the measures of the blockade by the United States and bilateral relations between Cuba and Egypt.

At the end of the meeting, the journalists organized a tour to the newsroom of the newspaper and other places of interest within its headquarters.

The Minister for Health, Mr. Kwaku Agyeman Manu, chaired the farewell to a group of Ghanaian students, among whom one hundred and seventy will be trained as new doctors, and thirty will study different postgraduate specialties. Among the latter, nine doctors trained in Cuba stand out.

Helsinki, May 14th, 2019 – The First Deputy Foreign Minister of Cuba, Marcelino Medina González, was received this Tuesday in the headquarters of the Finish Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Matti Anttonen, Permanent State Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, on the occasion of the visit of the Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister to this European country.

Athens, May 14. The Ambassador of Cuba in Greece Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina gave a lecture about the Cuban revolution, historical background and current situation, to students of various levels of Spanish at the headquarters of the Hellenic Cuban Friendship Association.

Mr. George W. Bush: the million Cubans who are gathered here today to march past your Interests Section is just a small part of a valiant and heroic people who would like to be here with us, if it were physically possible.

Cuba, along with 34 other nations and five judokas, participated in the IBSA Grand Prix of judo for athletes with visual disabilities that took place during two days at the Heydar Aliyev Sports Palace in Baku, capital of Aerbaijan.

In the qualifying tournament for the XVI Summer Paralympic Games "Tokyo 2020", participated the Cuban athletes: Yordani Fernandez Sastre, Jorge Hierrezuelo Marcillí, Gerardo Rodríguez Reyes, Sergio Arturo Pérez Hechavarria and José Manuel Romero Martínez, who together with more than 215 athletes they fought with determination in the tatamis of Baku.

The Humanistic Solidarity Association (Saint Lucia – Cuba) issued a declaration of support for the “sister island of Cuba”, in which it expressed their concern because of the recent escalation of the Government of the United States against Cuba and in particular, their decision to apply Title III of the Helms-Burton Law which they call “archaic”, “draconian”, “imperialistic” and “prehistoric”.  The Press Release states that the new measures of the United States may have an impact on Cuba’s trade and economic relations with the world but however this will not prevent their

The Ambassador of Cuba in Saint Lucia, Alejandro Simancas,  visited the district of Soufriere, located on the west coast of the island and one of its main population and economic centers.  The Ambassador was received by Pius Gangardine, Mayor of Soufriere, with whom the bonds were established and confirmed of friendship, solidarity and cooperation, which characterize the bilateral relations.
