Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. November 25, 2018. A heartfelt tribute to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, took place today at the Cuban Embassy in Mongolia. In commemoration of the second anniversary of his physical disappearance, the Cuban Residents, the President of the Mongolia Cuba Friendship Association, the Mongolian Graduates Association in Cuba, the Ambassadors of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Lao People's Democratic Republic, participated in the evening held in evocation of the father and guide of the Cuban Revolution.

Ghanaian graduates in Cuba pay tribute to Fidel Castro

A representation of the Ghanaians who between 1983 and 1988 benefited from the Scholarship Program for African students in the Isle of Youth, paid tribute to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, on the eve of the second anniversary of his physical disappearance.

The commemorative evening was organized by the Association of Ghanaian Graduates in Cuba (ESBECAN), as part of the program to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the arrival in Cuba of the so-called Group of 88, and in which representatives of other years took part.

The 18th European Solidarity Meeting with Cuba in Slovenia begins

Friends of Cuba in Europe have gathered this weekend in Bohinj, Slovenia, on the occasion of the 18th Continental Solidarity Meeting with the Caribbean country. In the presence of a delegation from the Cuban Institute of Friendship with Peoples, headed by its Vice-president Noemí Rabaza Fernández and the Ambassador of Cuba to Austria and Non-resident Ambassador to Slovenia, Juan Antonio Fernández, the event was inaugurated in a day of full commitment to the Cuban Revolution.

Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Wraps Up Official Portion of his Visit in Ottawa, Heads to Montreal

Ottawa, November 21, 2018.-  Mr. Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment successfully concluded the official portion of his visit to Ottawa and traveled to Montreal to complete an extensive agenda.

At midday on Wednesday, Minister Malmierca met with his Canadian counterpart, the Hon. James Carr, Minister of International Trade Diversification. It was a cordial and fruitful meeting, during which both ministers highlighted the long-standing bilateral relations and underlined the significance of the economic and commercial ties, which have traditionally existed between the two countries.

Minister Malmierca explained the crucial role that foreign direct investment plays in the Cuban economy and its impact on building new trade flows.

Jakarta, November 22nd- An image of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz integrates from today the gallery of personalities who had been awarded with the “Star of Soekarno” distinction.

On the occasion of the second anniversary of the death of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, H.E. Nirsia Castro Guevara, Ambassador of Cuba in Indonesia, handed the iconography to Mrs. Rachmawati Soekarnoputri, Founder of the Soekarno Educational Foundation.

Barbadian Minister of Culture celebrates Cuban technical assistance in heritage restoration.

Under the provisions of the current Cultural Cooperation Agreement two specialists from the "Restaura" Design Company of the Office of the Historian of Havana (OHC) were invited by the National Cultural Foundation (FNC) of Barbados, to make a technical evaluation of three centenary buildings of Bridgetown to be repaired and preserved, since they belong to the international heritage site recognized by UNESCO. The Minister of Culture, John King, exchanged with the architect Anibal del Prado and the engineer Rolando Salazar at the beginning of their intense and fruitful advisory work in the island and described as excellent and very timely this collaboration, which took place just before his planned official visit to Cuba next January, aimed at to exploring new avenues of bilateral cooperation.
