Ottawa, Friday, May 10, 2019.- As part of the annual tour of Pastors for Peace Caravan through North America, Ottawa Cuba Connections organized an event on Friday evening, with the presence of officials from the Embassy of Cuba in Canada and members of solidarity groups with our country.

The 30th edition of the interreligious organization IFCO/Pastors for Peace US-Cuba Friendship Caravan will take place this year. The Caravan annually collects donations to be delivered to Cuba in open defiance of the illegal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against our country for almost 60 years.

Kingston, Jamaica, 13 May 2019. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, H.E. Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, was received today at the headquarters of the Parliament of Jamaica by the Honorable Thomas Tavares-Finson, QC, JP, President of the Senate, and Pearnel Charles, MP, President of the House of Representatives.

In a cordial atmosphere, the Cuban diplomat and the Jamaican parliamentary leaders demonstrated the close bonds of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Jamaica and exchanged on various topics of regional and international bilateral interest.

Dublin, May 12, 2019. Members of the Cuban community living in Ireland, grouped in the "Ernesto Ché Guevara" Association, met in Dublin with their relatives and staff of the Cuban Embassy to celebrate Mother's Day according to Cuban tradition.

Pretoria, May 13, 2019.- We commemorate on May 11 the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and South Africa and the 25th anniversary of the first visit of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz to South Africa, to attend the inauguration ceremony of Nelson Mandela.

The Ambassador of Cuba in Egypt, Tania Aguiar Fernández, was invited by Moatz Hassan, Secretary General of Al Horreya (freedom) Party, to take part in the "Iftar" (breakfast), that he organized to end the fasting due to the month of Ramadan.

The Counselor of the Embassy of Cuba, Dennis Casares Benítez, held a meeting with Dr. Mohammad Gad, Chairman of the Egyptian Ambulance Organization, Supervisor for Foreign Affairs, Loans and Grants and Supervisor of the National Medical Tourism Project, where topics of mutual interest were addressed as well as a review of the results of previous meetings.

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. May 13, 2019. Invited by Mrs. J. Tsolmon, President of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, the Cuban Ambassador Raúl Delgado Concepción had the opportunity to visit the high center of studies in which he also had the possibility to exchange with teachers and students.

Roseau, Dominica, May 12, 2019. The Scientific Day of the Health Collaborators Brigade in Dominica was held on May 11, 2019, in a theater in the center of the capital of Dominica. For the first time this event is held in english language, to facilitate the participation of professionals of other nationalities.
