The First Caribbean Conference for Peace dedicated to Fidel and Che Guevara.

Barbados, October 7. The various pacifist organizations that convened the First Caribbean Conference for Peace, held on October 6 and 7, decided to dedicate to the commanders Ernesto "Che" Guevara and Fidel Castro Ruz, the excellent results obtained in the conclave, for consider them "two world visionary leaders who made an extraordinary contribution to the peace and liberation of the peoples of Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean," as reflected in the Bridgetown Declaration.

Che Guevara was wounded and captured in an ambush by the Bolivian army on October 8, 1967. The next day he was executed in cold blood, on instructions from Washington. When this news was confirmed, on October 18, a solemn evening in memory of Che, in the Plaza de la Revolución de La Habana, was attended by a million people. There, Fidel Castro pronounces a sensitive speech.

Doha – Information Office – 05 October.- HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi met HE Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the State of Qatar, Emilio Caballero Rodriguez.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, ways of boosting and developing them and enhancing prospects of cooperation, in addition to matters of common concern.

Cuban agribusiness delegation visiting NZ

The Cuban delegation being hosted at Milk Test NZ & Fonterra Te Rapa plant

Wellington, October 6, 2017. With the purpose of getting acquainted with New Zealand experiences in the livestock industry and to promote cooperation and business in this sector, a delegation from Cuba, led by Deputy Director of the Ministry of Agriculture, Arián Gutiérrez Velázquez, is visiting New Zealand.

Officials and businessmen from different branches and institutions associated with the livestock and food industry of Cuba are also part of the group.

The US blockade policy continues to be a massive, flagrant and systematic violation of the human rights of the Cuban people and qualifies as an act of genocide, as stated by the 2017report which will be presented to the United Nations General Assembly next November 1st.
 
The damage caused by the extraterritorial laws of the blockade is detailed in the report on United Nations General Assembly resolution 71/5 entitled "Need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by States" United States of America against Cuba.
